Happy New Years!

Back to work in a few days! We had a very nice, very laid-back Christmas. I'm still fighting a cold, and Connor and Delaney and I seem to be passing it back and forth, so we took things pretty easy. Connor also had a hockey tournament (he was player of the game one day!) and we had a couple of feet of snow which slowed us down too.

The kids had a great Christmas. I still haven't uploaded the pictures, but I think they were all pretty happy. They are back now to playing with the pound puppies... although they do occassionally play with their new toys.

Aidan became a game-boy addict again, but we're back to limiting it now that school will be starting again this week. Until the Florida trip anyway. He can play it the whole way to Florida if he wants to... won't bother me a bit.

Connor did just fine as one of the angels on Christmas Eve. He dripped a bit of wax on the carpet, but I doubt he was the first to do that! We've also discovered that he is really competitive and both a sore loser and a bad winner. I'm not sure if it is an age thing, but he really likes to win every game we play. They got "Slamwich" and "SceneIt Jr." for Christmas, and he likes to play both - but only when he's winning! Mimi gave us a portable DVD and the "SceneIt" game which will be great for the Florida trip - as long as he keeps winning...

Delaney was happy with her toys although her favorite stuff is art supplies. Santa brought them each a kit on Christmas Eve at the Mason's that has markers, pastels, pencil crayons, glue, scissors, a ruler and a ton of paper. That has kept her pretty occupied over the holidays.

We went to brunch with friends this morning and they were showing us their pictures from their trip to DisneyWorld in November. They also gave us their "guide" which I've been reading all afternoon. We're really looking forward to this trip, especially after the three feet of snow we got on the weekend! Palm trees, swimming pools and Mickey Mouse, what more could you want in January?
