Palm trees and Mickey Mouse (or Cinderella)

We're back. We had a great time. And it's not even that cold in Winnipeg, so we're not too sorry to be back. The kids were happy to go to school and see their friends this morning and even though I felt a little blue going to work, I'm feeling a lot better now. I've cancelled music so that they can get a little practice in and we can ease into the routine (Connor still has hockey and Delaney still has dance).

We spent 3 days at DisneyWorld and had a great time. We rode Splash Mountain 3 times (mine and Delaney's and Mimi's favorite), Tower of Terror twice (Aidan went 3 times - his favorite), Space Mountain twice (only Sean, Aidan and Connor) and we even went on Mission to Mars (Connor's favorite). We saw all the parades and the fireworks and got some autographs. The weather was nice and we didn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes for any ride excpet the Thunder Mountain Railroad, and that was about 25 minutes (yes, should have gotten a fast pass but since we didn't have to wait for anything else we didn't think about it). We even rode the Kali River Rapids and I got soaked. Had to walk around Animal Kingdom with wet shorts all morning. I'll post pictures soon.

We had a good time staying at Nana and Grandad's too. We went to the flea market and the ocean and the pool and ate out a fair amount. It was lots of fun. The waves were huge and almost sucked you right off your feet. Delaney and Connor had to hang on to an adult and Nana and I both lost our feet at least once. We found tons and tons of shells and each brought a collection home. We also made some nice necklaces out of some of them.

The train ride was terrific. You're treated very well and it is a very relaxing way to travel. The plane ride home was faster, but not nearly as comfortable. We took a limo from the airport and Connor and Delaney though that was the way to travel! They all enjoyed the train and Aidan and Connor said it was better than the plane. I'd do it again anytime.

What else? My cousin Jackie had a baby girl while we were away. Natalie Estelle and she was early (her first one that was early!) and weighed 7 pounds. I think she is 24 inches long, which sounds very tall to me so I think I might have that wrong. Ruby is coming for Delaney's party this weekend so I hope we'll get to see her.

Will post some pictures and more stories later.
