Nana's here! And, Happy Birthday Aidan!

After a long delay at the airport in Hamilton - I guess there were thunderstorms and hurricanes in the area so the flight was held up for over 2 hours. Better safe than sorry, but the kids were so anxious for her to get here!

The next day was my birthday and Nana brought me a wonderful bath set, Sean gave me a shopping spree (which I actually did on Friday and told him he could give me for my birthday), the kids made cards and my mom gave me some money that I'm going to use on new shoes. It was a great day. Nana brought the kids each a game and we spent a lot of the day playing. Aidan's is called "Maya Madness" and is a math-type of game, we all really enjoyed playing it! Delaney has a ballerina card-game and Connor got a Q&A game about monsters. Lots of fun for everybody. We went out for supper and I ate too much and felt discgusting afterwards, but that's what birthdays are for! The nieghbours also came and hauled me over for a drink just before we were going out, so that didn't help...

Today is Aidan's 9th birthday! I remember EXACTLY what I was doing 9 years ago today - he was born exactly 45 minutes from now, so I could tell you exactly what I was doing this time 9 years ago, but you wouldn't want to know ;) We're going out to Boston Pizza tonight and then having cake (which Nana made and which is now baking and smelling heavenly) and presents. I think he'll be a pretty happy guy. His friend birthday party is on Thursday and we're having 5 other boys sleep over - I hope some of us get some sleep!

We went to see the Bears on Broadway yesterday. They were a lot of fun but Delaney and Connor started their bickering and I started yelling at them. Then Connor decided to revert back to his 5-year old self and we had a battle royale. That hasn't happened for months and months. I think it's because he gets embarrassed when I yell at him in front of other people, so I guess I'm going to have to be careful about that. But, as I told him, if he doesn't want to get yelled at then he should change his behaviour... Oh well, I am the grown-up in the situation as I keep reminding myself although it is hard to behave that way sometimes.

Okay, we're caught up now!
