I can't believe it is already 2006! I started work again today (at work, rather than at home) and looked at the pictures of the kids I have around my desk and am amazed at how fast time is flying. The newest picture was taken 2 years ago and I can't believe how big they have gotten. I have honestly enjoyed them so much, and have told myself at every stage that this is one of the best, but there is just no way to hold on to it! It makes me a bit blue, but I guess it's inevitable.
They are staying with Mimi today and tomorrow and then I'm taking a couple of days off with them. I really hate being at work while they are home, but the holidays were kind of screwy this year. They ended up with an extra week that the university doesn't get. However, we had a great Christmas and a wonderful visit in Hamilton, so it was a very nice holiday. I am not ready to be back in the office, but what can you do? It was a wonderful break to be at home and I'm already looking forward to the next one! I think I need to win the lottery - then Sean and I could both be at home. I'm still going to work at home one day a week, so that is good.
I'll post some Christmas pictures soon. The kids are still playing with their GameCube like crazy. We played all day Sunday and had a great time. We also played some board games and had a lot of fun. Went to Mimi's for supper with Brent and Toni and Grace and Auntie Linda and Uncle Norm and kept playing - wink murder and rhythm catchers. The kids were hilarious!
Sean and I are going for dinner and a movie tonight - it will be nice to have a little time together since we haven't done anything just the two of us for ages! But already I'm missing my kids - it will be nice to get into a routine again.
