And he scored...

SEVEN baskets at his basketball game on Saturday! Aidan was on fire, folks. Even though they lost 41-23, he scored more than half the points for his team. Now if they could only learn defence...

I had a great Mother's Day. Breakfast in bed (shared with Delaney), off to Church, then brunch and home for a quick nap and a day lazing on the couch with the kids. They've all got colds and it's rainy outside today, so we really took it easy. Sean went and did the grocery shopping with Delaney, and they brought me home a flower (a pink rose, because I like roses and I like pink says D) and a bag of chips (definitely need to go for a run!). Delaney made me a flower and a flower pen, a beautiful card and a picture. Very, very nice. Aidan gave me some certificates for cleaning up his room, going for a walk and going for a bike ride and I'm going to start cashing them in right away (especially the clean up the room one). Connor made me a book. It is terrific! The teacher supplied the beginning of the sentence and Connor had to finish it. Here's an extract:

When it's time for bed my mom toks me in

At bed time I am sometimes scared about the scaree storees my brothir tils me

Each night, the last thing my mom says to me is git to bed

At bedtime, the last thing I say to my mom is no i do not wont to go to bed

And the dedication?

Dedicated to Mom because I love her and she is fun

*sniff*

I also got a wonderful gift from my mother-in-law. When we were in Hamilton she took this wonderful picture of Sean crouching on the beach with all the kids, including Bianca and his cousin Nicole's boys. She sent it to me in a beautiful frame with the nicest card. And, the other gift I get is a day out with my Mom. We're going for lunch and shopping and for a pedicure while Sean and the kids hang out for a day. Now, it can't get much better than that, can it?

Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there. I hope you had as nice a day as I am having! And especially Toni and Colleen who are celebrating their first Mother's Days.
