Mom had a big shindig at her house with the aunts and uncles and cousins and neighbors. Marnie made a cake in the shape of a beer-stein for Kevin and a teddy in a pink diaper for Grace. Both were amazing to look at and very good to eat, although everyone had a hard time cutting into the bear, it was so pretty.
Grace had a bit of a cold so was pretty clingy with her mom, but she did get passed around a fair amount. Natalie (Jackie and Rob's youngest) was also there and visited with everyone. She is such a tiny little peanut! But so sweet - at least until I try to hold her when she shows how good her lungs are. She did that when they came to visit at spring break too! I guess I've lost the touch with little babies... Lots of other cousins were there, but they are growing up so much! Daniel and Mikeal (I'm sure I've spelt that wrong) and Emily and Sarah are all teenagers now. I don't think we (my cousins and I) can talk about ourselves as "the kids" anymore!
Aidan was sick on Saturday night after spending most of the day at a birthday party and then we went to see Madagascar that night. I think a lot of it was the junk he ate that day! Both he and Connor went to the doctor on Monday, and it ends up they've both had Fifth Disease. I remember now my neighbour talking about how it went around her kids' school and her two youngest had it. But, it was almost the same thing as the rash they had in Florida, so now I'm wondering if they had it in Florida too? Anyway, they aren't infectious anymore so no need to warn anybody about it.
Delaney had Marianna Banana at school yesterday and got her face painted like a fairy. It was really beautiful and sounds like they had a lot of fun. Tomorrow is her last day of preschool! They are having a pizza lunch and then their graduation, she's been practicing songs for ages. I will do my best to remember my camera and take lots of pictures. I forgot it at Kevin's birthday, but Toni and Brent took lots so they've sent me one of Kevin and Grace that I will post.
We got pizza night wrong again last night. That's twice I've thought it was pizza night and it wasn't, which means the kids were left at school twice! Thank goodness I had an appointment with Aidan's teacher so I went to the school anyway. They didn't actually get left behind, but would have if I hadn't wanted to meet with her! We just talked a little about how he was doing since he's been a bit down in the dumps lately. I think it was a temporary thing though because he has been back to his old self the last few days, flashing that big grin of his.
