The sun! The sun!

Finally some nice weather, but we're getting our new air conditioner installed on Tuesday, so I'm sure the cool temps and rain will return then. But right now the sun is shinging and we are happy! The kids were off school today and we'd planned to go to the zoo or something. Last night we realized that this weekend was our last chance for a garage sale before fall, so we spent the day organizing and pricing stuff instead. But, I've finally got my basement pretty well cleared out. Whatever doesn't sell goes off to Goodwill or Salvation Army, it isn't coming back inside. I've even gotten rid of a lot of baby clothes, although there are still 4 boxes in Delaney's closet. That's not that bad considering...

Aidan plays his last basketball game tomorrow. They lost the quarter finals against the best team in their division so are now playing for third place. Not too bad considering some kids had never played basketball before.

Soccer is also ending this week. They didn't play at all last week because of the rain and the fields were soaked. We are really looking forward to sports being over! I'd like to get the pool set up this weekend, but we aren't sure if it's a good idea to do it before the roofing is done or not. We're getting the roof, soffits, eavestroughs done, the house painted and maybe a window or two replaced. Besides the air conditioning. I'm obviously not retiring anytime soon!

Aidan is in heaven because he got his new gameboy Pokemon gold game yesterday. Delaney and Connor are out back playing in the sandbox. In the midst of cleaning for the garage sale we found the sandbox toys, so that was good! Whatever we make from the garage sale we are going to use to buy a "real" basketball net so Connor and Aidan will be able to play on the driveway. That's the motivation for getting rid of the toys. Delaney likes basketball too, so it works for her as well.

And I'm tired! I'm not used to the sun or working so hard all day - very different from sitting in front of my computer... although not as stressful as work can be sometimes!!

Garage sales are tiring...
